Hello everyone, I'd really like some help finding a story I read online some time ago, and this was the sub I thought to post my request in.
I remember the story was from either Tumblr or Reddit, and was an adaptation of the classic The Grasshopper and The Ant fable.
The story revolved around the ants accepting that playing music during the spring was in the Grasshopper's nature, but also telling it that keeping their food to themselves was their nature, and turning the grasshopper away. I remember in the end, the ants had made their way to the stars, and the grasshopper, alone in the desert, traded it's knowledge, it's ability to make things the tiniest bit more efficient, for the ants to keep its body, waiting until spring.
Thanks for any help!
