Hi there! I’m looking to hire a US-based designer for a personal project—I’m putting together my own recipe book and would love to have a custom set of beautifully designed, editable recipe templates that reflect a cozy hobbit / cottagecore aesthetic.

📋 What I’m Looking For:

  • Four seasonal designs (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) with custom, colorful line drawings of hobbit home entrances—each representing the season.
  • Three template sizes:
    • 3x5 inch card (Avery printable)
    • 4x6 inch card (Avery printable)
    • 8.5x11 inch full-page recipe sheet
  • Editable/fillable PDF fields for:
    • Recipe title
    • Ingredients
    • Instructions
    • Notes
  • Templates must work in Adobe Acrobat, with layouts that don’t shift or distort when content is added.
  • Designs should be print-friendly, cozy, and feel like they came from a hobbit’s kitchen.

🖼️ Recipe Card Concept Mockup (Visual Description)

🍁 Seasonal Hobbit Home Illustration (Top or Side Border)

Each card features a hand-drawn, colorful line illustration of a cozy hobbit home entrance that reflects one of the four seasons:

  • Fall – pumpkins on the stoop, orange leaves, warm lantern glow
  • Winter – snow on the roof, wreath on the door, icicles
  • Spring – blooming flowers, birds, and fresh greenery
  • Summer – sunflowers, garden produce, bright blue sky

This image should be placed at the top of the card (like a banner) or as a side/bottom accent, depending on the layout space. It should be vivid and charming but not overpower the text area.

📝 Editable Text Sections (PDF Form Fields)

Each size (3x5, 4x6, 8.5x11) should include these fillable sections:

  • Recipe Title – prominent at the top in a charming, legible font
  • Ingredients – bulleted or spaced lines for clear formatting
  • Instructions – large area for step-by-step writing
  • Notes / Tips – optional field at the bottom for personal touches

📏 Sizes & Layout Guidance

  • 3x5 and 4x6 cards should be compact and practical for kitchen use—preferably landscape format, but open to designer’s input.
  • 8.5x11 page can be more spacious, with room for longer recipes or family stories, while still maintaining the cozy vibe.

🎨 Style Direction

  • Soft, earthy tones
  • Whimsical, storybook illustration
  • Clean but warm layout—nothing overly modern or sterile
  • A touch of Tolkien, a dash of cottagecore

📅 Timeline:

No major rush—I’d love to have the final files within 3–4 weeks.

💵 Budget & Rate:

This is a personal, non-commercial project. I’m open to hourly or fixed pricing, depending on your process. Based on similar work, I was thinking:

  • Hourly rate: ~$30–$60/hr depending on experience and illustration quality
  • Estimated time: 8–15 hours, but open to your professional input

✅ To Apply:

Please comment or DM with:

  • A portfolio or sample of relevant work (especially cozy, fantasy, or stationery designs)
  • Your rate and availability
  • Any questions or suggestions!

Thanks for reading—I’m excited to work with someone who loves cozy, storybook vibes as much as I do! 🍂
